I have a 4 year old again. he is so much fun.He is loving being in school and begs to go everyday. The Smith’s came over and decorated our back door for his birthday. He wanted Cookies for his birthday cake. so we make him a cookie cake, he loved it. Gus loves board games so that is what he got. Not to mention his new big boy bike, which he is very ready to go and ride it outside.

We always start off December with Festival of the Trees. This year the Elliotts joined us. I love looking at all the trees and the kids love talking to the elves and doing the little craft projects.
Gingerbread house time. We love decorating our houses every year. I was able to find a little village that the kids could put together. then daddy got to put the biggest one together.
Every year we have to go and see the lights at Temple Square. The boys were very excited to have Abby and the babies come with us. We rode Trax to get up there which is always a highlight.
Smith Family Party. Can I just say I love this party, it is always fun to get together. The boys love that Santa comes and visits.

November was very uneventful which is nice right before all the holidays. But we did have to do our normal trip up to Snowbird. The boys look forward to it every year and we never know how much snow if any we will have to deal with once we get to the top.
You know when the phone rings and you just know it is not a good thing. Well I got that phone call. Betsy and Nick had just dropped off the kids for the weekend and about half and hour later the phone rings I answer it and it is Spuds school calling to tell me he had fallen off the swing and had split his chin open. Thankfully my mom was home so I left to go get him. He is such a tough little guy. He started crying a little once he saw me but I would be crying too. We got him to the Dr. he had to have 2 interior stitches and 7 outside stitches.

I love Halloween
We carved Pumpkins usually we just paint them but we were so close to Halloween that we could carve them.
For Halloween the Spud was an Army Guy, and Gus was Mater.
On Halloween we went to see if we could find Wendy the Witch at Gardner Village. Wendy is our witch that comes and takes our candy and leaves us with really cool toys if we fill her cauldron. We thinkwe found her but we are not sure.

So I haven’t done a post since Oct and a bunch of my friends were getting in “trouble” from other friends for not posting I guess I had better get busy at this. So I am working on posts I just have a lot of pictures to go thru but Be expecting a bunch more very very soon.

Leslie has been making this family favorite for years now. It is a great dish and even tasted great cold!
3/4 lb. Mushrooms, sliced
3/4 c. butter – divided or margarine
1 c. heavy cream
1 c. parmesan cheese
1/2 c. parsley, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 Ibs. Zucchini – julienne cut
1 lb. Fettuccine, cooked and drained
Saute mushrooms and garlic in 1/4 c. butter over medium high for 2 minutes. Add zucchini, cream and remaining butter. Bring to boil, lower heat and simmer for 3 minutes. Add hot pasta to skillet with parmesan cheese and parsley. Toss well to combine and serve immediately.
#1 Variation: Add 1c. minced prosciutto, Sautéed briefly.
#2 variation: Add two chicken breasts that have been cut in bite size pieces and browned in a little butter and garlic. When asparagus is in season, omit the zucchini and add asparagus.
